Tammika Hubbard–Alderwoman spotlight

The newest member of the Board of Aldermen is Tammika Hubbard who was elected to fill Alderwoman April Ford Griffins position after she resigned to accept a position to become Director of the St. Louis City Civil Rights Enforcement  Commission.

Prior to being the Alderwoman she was the supervisor of the court section for the city’s earnings tax and previously worked as a parole officer at the Missouri Board of Probation & Parole. Her mother Penny is currently a state representative. Her brother, Rodney Hubbard Jr. is a former state representative.

Alderwoman Hubbard represents all or parts of the following neighborhoods:

 Carr Square neighborhood  is bounded by Cass Avenue on the North, Cole Street on the South, North Tucker Boulevard and North 13th Street on the East, and North Jefferson on the West.

The Columbus Square neighborhoodis bounded by N. Tucker/N. 13th St. on the west, Cole St. on the south, I-70 on the east, and Cass Ave. on the north.

Downtown West neighborhood is bounded by Tucker Blvd. on the east, Cole Street on the north, Jefferson Ave. on the west, and Chouteau Ave. on the south.

A historic North St. Louis neighborhood,  the Hyde Park neighborhood is bound by Ferry to the North, I-70 to the East, Palm and Natural Bridge to the South, and Glasgow to the West.

The Jeff-Vander-Lou (JVL) neighborhoodis situated between North Vandeventer Avenue on the northwest, Natural Bridge avenue on the northeast, North Jefferson Avenue on the East, Delmar Boulevard on the south, and North Compton Avenue and Martin Luther King Drive on the Southwest.

Located just north of Downtown St. Louis, the Near North Riverfront neighborhood is bounded by Carr to the South, Interstate 70 to the West, Adelaide to the North, and the Mississippi River to the East.

This near Northside (Old North) neighborhoodis bounded by Palm Street on the North, Cass Avenue on the South, Howard Street on the East, and North Florissant on the West.

This near Northside (St. Louis Place) neighborhoodis bounded by Palm Street on the North, Cass Avenue on the South, North Florissant on the East, and North Jefferson on the West.
