On Tuesday, December 4, a free concert will be held in Tower Grove Park at the lovely Piper Palm House. This is a free event sponsored by the St. Louis Symphony. No tickets or reservations are needed, but seats fill up quick, so arrive early (doors open at 6:30 p.m.), for a good spot! Tomorrow’s show will feature St. Louis Symphony cellists, Elizabeth Chung, Alvin McCall, Bjorn Ranheim, and Davin Rubicz. You can hear their favorite selections from the Bach Cello Suites, as well as cello duos by Boccherini and Gliere, a cello quartet by Bach, and a few holiday selections arranged especially for the cello quartet. The concert is casual and will last about one hour. A complimentary reception will be held following the concert.
Mark your calendars now for the upcoming free Tuesday concerts at Piper Palm House: February 26th will feature a string trio and April 16th is yet to be determined, but sure to be special. Tuesday concerts begin at 7:00 p.m. The Piper Palm House is inside the park at 4256 Magnolia.
